After 3 years as an assistant at the KUL in applied mathematics, Peter worked for 8 years at De Vaderlandsche where he became head of staff non-life. Then he joined KBC-insurances where he was responsible for car and WC-insurance and the implementation of a new police-underwriting system. He was also actively involved in merger and acquisition projects of insurance companies in the EU.
He joined a consultancy firm in actuarial topics in 2009 where he developed and implemented the Solvency II framework. As a consultant he was the appointed actuary of Protect for more the 10 years. At the same time he cofounded OOliba NV, a Software firm that developed solvency II-calculation tools and a work-flow model. He likes to program and analyse actuarial problems.
During his consultancy period, he was active on the Belgian market to support the actuarial issues about Solvency II. He has significant experience and expertise in non life business, regarding products developments, define acceptance rules and cleansing actions, scoring system. He is also an expert in Market risk.
